The 30th November is Bubble Inc's 25^th bubble birthday! And to celebrate, I’m putting on my Giant Bubble Show this December in my hometown of Brighton at Ironworks Studios! Bubble Inc began as a toy company on a wet and windy November day 25 years ago where I turned my love of bubbles into a market stall selling my favourite bubble toys on London’s Portabello road. I’d been working as a musician through my 20’s (aka Samsam Bongoman!), but life as a musician is tough. I knew that I wanted more of a career… and I found it in bubbles!

I grew to have market stalls at Camden and Spitalfields markets too – great memories. You’d be amazed how exciting getting up at 5am every Friday Saturday and Sunday can be! No joke - the excitement of growing a business from your passion is fantastic. People started calling me “Samsam Bubbleman” and inviting me to entertain at their weddings and  kids parties and I opened my festival stall, attending Glastonbury and Womad festivals in the summer time.

Back on Portabello road  in the winter of 2006, I was approached by a PR company to attempt the Guinness World Record for the Most People Inside a Giant Bubble, to help promote the grand reopening of ‘Professor Burps Bubbleworks’ ride at Chessington World of Adventures. I jumped at the chance and successfully put 19 people inside a giant bubble!

 

Significant press ensured and I was invited onto a stream of tv shows including breaking my second world record on BBC’s Blue Peter for the Most Bubbles in a Bubble. I was on the map!

Skip forward some 20 years and I’m now proud to employ a team of people working and earning from bubbles both performing and helping to sell Bubble Inc’s amazing range of bubble toys and machines! We have created the best in bubble toys – a range of our best selling bubble toy Christmas presents,  an unbelievable 10 different kinds of bubble solutions from special bubbles for cats and dogs, to UV bubbles and even edible bubbles you can eat!

I could fill a book with the stories and experiences bubbles have graced me with. From performing to King Charles, to creating the bubbles for the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremonyand check out this clip from Tim Burton’s 2019 remake of Disney’s “Dumbo.”

Generating a spectacle with a bubble flash-mob during rush hour in the heart of the City of London’s business district was great fun. I’ve created bubbles for some of the World’s most famous celebrities including Lady Gaga! And being flown around the world to perform my Giant Bubble Show – that really kicked off with a 50 show run in Jakarta, Indonesia, and since I’ve travelled to over 30 countries including Japan, America and this year I performed in Australia!

I’ve learnt that no matter where I go, everyone LOVES bubbles! I can’t think of anything that is so universally love.
