I woke up this morning to this lovely review from a customer about our Supapop bubble solution!
Mark Galvin recommends Bubble Inc "I first met Sam & the Bubble Inc team at a festival in the 2000s, and have been a customer ever since. My favourite product is the Supapop liquid as it lets you create HUGE, durable bubbles. The liquid goes far - both in terms of how long the bubbles survive, and how long the bottle lasts you, and because it's a concentrate you can tailor it to your needs. 10/10!"
It inspired me to make this video! Enjoy!
Would you leave us a short review too to help my bubble business survive the pandemic?
I first attended Glastonbury Festival in 1990 at the tender age of 18.. what a life changing week that was! That week i found my inner bubble.
I was sitting on the grass in the Green Fields, on one of those lovely warm Glastonbury Sundays, my world and my mind felt renewed.
I marvelled at sheer size of the festival whilst gazing across the valley,... a city of wonder right in front of me. As far as my eyes could see, a trillion tents.. and a trillion people! Happy and free, and outdoors in the sun. Music and food, smells and sensations spread like spring water through my soul.
12 years later, i would bring my festival stall here - Bubble Inc - an emporium of incredible bubble toys from around the world.

** Side note - Incredibly, this was also the day i began playing percussion which became a 10 year career for me as a session musician - through my twenties i was known as Samsam Bongoman, but that's another story for another day.. **

Back in my Glastonbury field, l suddenly noticed a bubble the size of a beach-ball drifting across my field of vision - i held my breath in a moment of awe...
What incredible beauty is this?! Where did it come from? This floating ball of colour,.. and light,.. wandering soundlessly across the orchestral sunset sky like a tiny planet, colours forever swirling around it's circumference.
Could such a thing really exist?
I didn't think 'Oh it's a bubble' but looked at it without giving it a name, definition, or expectation. I looked at it with the eyes of my child. Life could get no more amazing than this, surely?
My first bubble
Yet even then, this single sphere of beauty had one more trick up its sleeve that would entirely push me over the edge. Without so much as a word, and more suddenly than a blink of the eye, the bubble completely and totally,.. disappeared. Like real magic!
I kid you not! It was as though this bubble had been beamed into space by some passing advanced life form that had noticed it's supple beauty and transported it onto their spaceship for further study. "How did this happen?" i thought to myself. "Was it ever really there in the first place?"
The memory of it embedded itself so firmly in my psyche that soap bubbles became a 30 year passion and career, sustaining my life forever since.
Back in Brighton
In the weeks to follow back in my home town, i couldn't get the experience out of my mind.. it was like an epiphany. A bubble epiphany. Obsessed, I started buying every different type of bubble mix i could find . Each one was different. Most hardly made any bubbles at all, but there was one that I loved.. great long streams of colourful bubbles erupting from it's wand, with nothing more than a simple puff of my breath! Exhaling life into it more slowly, i discovered i could produce a bubble the size of a grapefruit.
Some people get into coffee. I got into bubbles.
How i got the name 'Samsam Bubbleman'
That September, i went to university in Bath to study World Religions and further developed my passion for these soapy spheres. On windy days I would put an automatic bubble toy machine on my window ledge and let the bubbles waft over campus. People started calling me "Samsam Bubbleman"
It was there in 1991 during a group trip to the local juggling shop, i came across the Klutz book all about bubbles - it was the first of many books about bubbles that i would come to own - i still have it on my shelf as part of my 'Bubbliography.' It taught me tricks like how to put a bubble in a bubble and some of the basic science and history of bubbles. AND it taught me that if i want to get BIG bubbles, i would have to make my own solution. I practised and experimented and over many years, it became our Supapop bubble concentrate which would help me to break an astonishing 12 Guinness World Records including for the World's biggest bubble.

Bubble Inc - present
Now, some 30 years on, i am the proud owner of Bubble Inc - a company specialising in all things bubble related! I invented a collection of bubble toys that we sell through our website www.BubbleInc.co.uk and i've trained a team of Bubbleologists who perform at everything from kids parties to corporate events through the UK as well as to millions of people in over 30 countries around the globe.
Over my 3 decades of bubbling, I've performed for royalties and celebrities around the world. I have had the honour of being part of some truly amazing experiences including creating: a bubble making dress for Lady Gaga; a bubble segment with 355 people for the 2012 Olympic opening ceremony; and the bubble sequence for Tim Burton's 2019 re-make of Disney's "Dumbo."

People tell me it's an inspiration how i've managed to make a business out of practically thin air and often ask me "How come you got into bubbles?"
"How come you didn't?" is my reply.
Thank you Glastonbury festival for hosting my bubble epiphany - it wouldn't have happened without you! Hope to grace your sweet fields again in 2021
Ps Here's the whole story and more captured by the fantastic film-maker Jan Bednarz in his wonderful film "The Bubbleologist"

Yip yip! I’ve just received my edition of the 2020 Guinness Book of World Records with my latest bubble World Record (no. 12!)
AND picture included!
It was for the most bubbles blown by a single dip of a single wand - I smashed the previous record of 79 with a new record of 445!
Although I have other records standing, the last time I actually appeared in the book was 2014 - of the 60,000+ records only some 3000 get in the book. And of that only a fraction with a picture too, so it’s truly the icing on the cake to get both! Two pictures even and a third write up!
I can’t tell you what it’s like to be involved with Guinness World Records..
What, I can? Well, it’s fab! Aside from being flown around the globe performing with bubbles, it's a massive honour to be an inspiration to their readers.
A couple of experiences as a record holder stick out as favourite moments. I have to mention some of the amazing people I’ve met over the years!
Aside from appearing on Guinness World Records Smashed and various other TV programmes, I once travelled to Italy to perform on their record show “Lo Show Dei Record” and attempt a new Guinness World Record for The Most Bubbles Blown Inside a Bubble... which I got using Bubble Inc's very own Supapop bubble solution (available here). I met an extraordinary array of fascinating characters there, all fellow record breakers from all over the world, there to attempt new records too. Imagine the atmosphere in our hotel lobby where we all met for the first time.. Wonderful! There was Anastasia Sawaicka (Poland) record holder for the strongest hair in the world. I’d later witness her twirling around from her hair from a massive crane! Check her out here. And Steve Langley (USA), The Paddle-ball King, attempting to paddle-ball more paddle-balls than anyone had ever paddle-balled paddle-balls before… (some get me some grammar). Funnily enough he now performs with bubbles too! See here. Shay Horay (Australia) attempting the most Rubber Bands around the head (!?!)
And as guests on the show, two ladies from America with 'Argyria' – a skin condition which turns the skin blue. I also had the honour to meet the lovely Jyoti Kisange Amge – presenter of the show and Guinness World Record holder for the Smallest Living Woman! 2 foot 0.6 inches!
The other memory wasn’t quite so glamorous, but i’m so fond of it! A few years ago, I was asked by Guinness to give a presentation at their London HQ to a class of competition winners.
Upon arriving Editor-in-Chief Craig Glenday was showing slides of other record holders and asking the kids to guess what record they’d broken. This image popped up of Ashrita Furman, the holder of the Most Records Broken.
“What record is this?” Craig asked the children..
Silence. Eventually a solitary arm went up – “Is it the record for the fastest person in the world?”
I smiled at their logic, wondering (along with Craig), how did he arrive at that conclusion?
“Because he’s so fast that he appears in more than one place at the same time” the boy replied.
As well as a 12 x Guinness World Record holding Bubbleologist, i am also a collector I have collected instruments, old books, curios, as well as vintage bubble toys, bubble paraphenalia and i have the biggest collection of bubble socks of anyone in the world! Look out for those in another future blog (or another world record!?!)..
I wanted this website to be a collection of all things bubble related too! And so here is a collection of some of my favourite bubble quotes of all time! They go back over a 1000 years and include quotes from the likes of Mark Twain, Lady Gag, Bill Murray and even Ozzy Osbourne!
Enjoy, and if you have any more i don't know about, let me know!
“I wonder how much it would take to buy a soap bubble if there were only one in the world” - Mark Twain
“A year from now, I could go away, and people might say, ‘Gosh, what ever happened to that girl who never wore pants?’ But how wonderfully memorable 30 years from now, when they say, ‘Do you remember Gaga and her bubbles?’ Because, for a minute, everybody in that room will forget every sad, painful thing in their lives, and they’ll just live in my bubble world.” Lady Gaga (nb This image includes her bubble dress from 2013, which the team at Bubble Inc helped to create! Ed.)
“There’s no angry way to say bubbles” - Bill Murray
“I’m Ozzy Osbourne, the Prince of Darkness. Evil! Evil! Whats evil about a load of bubbles?!" Ozzy Osbourne on hearing that his wife Sharon had organised a bubble machine for his stage entry
“I’m more of a bubble man” Ken Livingstone on being asked if he’s the ‘Marmite Mayor’
"As a lamp, a cataract, a star in space / an illusion, a dewdrop, a bubble / a dream, a cloud, a flash of lightening / view all created things like this." - The Diamond Sutra (written in 868 a.d by an unknown author, making it the World’s earliest complete dated printed book in existence!)
"Yet there are moments when the walls of the mind grow thin, when nothing is unabsorbed, and I could fancy that we might blow so vast a bubble that the sun might set and rise in it and we might take the blue of midday and the black of midnight and be cast off and escape from here and now.” Virginia Woolf
“I think that, like in my writing, reality is always a soap bubble” Philip K Dick
“ I can understand why people would want to stay on the road because you create your own bubble. You almost don’t live in the real world. Just to have the things that are with you is fine.” Kylie Minogue
“Like bubbles on the sea of matter borne. They rise, they break, and to that sea return.” Alexander Pope
“Love is like a soap bubble. Beautiful; but ruptures just with a prickle.” Shreyansh Priye
“Surround everyone you can think of in bubbles of love” - Diana Cooperwow you got so far! Well done! You qualify as a true bubble geek! In that case, can you add to this list...?
Something remarkable’s happened in the bubble world... 100 of the World’s top soap bubble experts came together for 5 days in September 2018 for‘Daze 5’ bubble conference hosted by Dr. Zigs bubbles in North Wales. 'A bubble conference' I hear you say? Yes, such a thing actually exists!
It’s at times like this when it feels such an honour to work with bubbles - I’ll be entering my 30thyear of making bubbles in June 2019 so this for me is the perfect celebration!
This event began with a bubble festival including a day of Guinness World Record attempts which I was honoured to co-ordinate, host and even attempt 2 new records myself! I successfully broke my 11th and 12th Guinness World Records, one for the ‘Most Bounces of a Soap Bubble’ (215), and the other for ‘The Most Bubbles Blown with a Single Dip of a Single Wand’ (445), smashing the existing record of 79.
My 10th Guinness World Record was for 'The World’s Largest Bubble' (outdoor) back in 2015, so I was very happy to bring this up to date and add another two records to my name. Guinness World Records are a fantastic organisation to be involved with and I really enjoyed co-ordinating with their team on the day.
I recorded the above interview for Guinness World Records at the end of the day along with a photo-shoot for their new book - we got some awesome shots! Look out for my pic in Guinness’s new record book (coming out in September 2019) and more bubble records!
The video also covers the day’s two mass participation bubble records which took place in the grounds of Caernarfon Castle, organised by Paola Dyboski-Bryant from Dr. Zigs - “The Most People making Giant Bubbles Simultaneously” and the “Most People Making Bubbles with Garland Wands Simultaneously” now set at 318.
As well as being one of the participating bubble makers, I was also in charge of the music for this event. Music has been a passion of mine since I first discovered my singing voice at the age of 4 and some of you may know I worked as a percussionist for 10 years (in a previous incarnation I was known as Samsam Bongo-man!). I have an extensive collection of bubble songs in my collection (secretly I’ve always wanted to be on Desert Island Discs.. check out some of my collection here).
My vision was to open with Strauss’s ‘Blue Danube’ (the music on this video) but when I went to set it up, I discovered that the speakers they’d hired didn’t come with cables to connect to my laptop! No-one could find the right cables, so with time ticking, I grabbed a young guy from the castle staff and we RAN to my van where I had my own PA speakers. Driving around the castle included some pretty tricky one-way navigating and with my heart beating in my chest, I pulled up as close as we could get and walked / ran the speakers into the inner courtyard.
“7, 6, 5,,… “ the countdown had already begun as we hurriedly set the speakers up and plugged cables in but somehow the Bubble Gods smiled down on us and much to my delight, the first notes of the Blue Danube rang out exactly as the mass bubbling began.
A billion bubbles erupted from every corner of the castle.
Oh, the elation. the combined RAPTURE from everyone there,.. it's there captured in the video! Professional bubblers and members of the local community alike.. Bubble euphoria rose above us like the Northern Lights. A Bubble Borealis. It was spiritual. I left the music on shuffle, grabbed my bubble sticks and ran down to dance and join in the bubble rhapsody with my friends.
Celebrations continued long into the evening, and that night, we fell asleep delirious under the Welsh skies.
Back at the bubble conference, my own personal bubble gurus Tom Noddy, Sterling Johnson and Pep Bou performed... and many more Bubbleologists attended, some of whom i'd never met before came together for a sharing of ideas and passions, hosted at Paola Dyboski-Bryant's Dr. Zigs Welsh bubble HQ.
It sparked a new era in bubbling with each bubble artiste bringing their own style, their own flavour of performance skills to share. Workshops on street performing, hand bubbling, mixing solutions, the science of bubbles.. it was all there.
Every evening this eccentric bunch of people hung out together and played! New friendships were created and new connections made. After dinner, we would gather under the autumn moon for advanced bubble play and experimentation.
Even on a normal day the beauty and joy that bubbles inspire take my breath away, but to come together with so many people who share your passion,.. Bubbles have a unique power to bring people together in a state of unity and joy.. I mean, everyone LOVES bubbles! I literally can’t think of anything else that is as UNIVERSALLY loved.
